Summer house study for a mediterrenean village on a sloped site.

The study aims to discover the advantages of the slope for the distribution of the programme which can also be valid for any of our public or larger scale buildings.

Swimming pool would be placed on the roof with a dining / resting / sunbathing area next to it.

To reach this roof level the user woul'd have two alternative routes, one is a private route from the inside of the cube and the other, climbing around the house.

This is a quick montage of the house on potential environmental conditions.

The route curling around the building is wider than a normal staircase. The user would be able to sit on the varying size of stairs depending on the sun's position and be able to read, listen to music, relax. The edge where the stairs meet could also be used as balconies for having snacks, drinking and enjoying the view.

It would also be possible to see the sky through water by the transparent living room ceilng which can also be kept closed depending on the user's choice.

Building Office was founded in 2006 and the Reading Office was founded in 2009 in London.

Bo is interested both in the act of building and the phenomenon of building in every scale while Ro focusses on the critisization and communication of the works prdocued within and outside the office with the world.

Reading Office acts as a source for collecting, broadcasting ideas from all around the world while Building Office focuses only on the building itself.

Every year starting in mid-august, we recruit a team of building designers, structural and computer engineers for Building Office. We are interested in hiring critics, journalists, movie makers and graphic designers for the Reading Office.
